Over the ages the British have ruled many parts of the world. It has been said that the sun never sets on the British Emipire. Mr. Pickwick in his adventurous nature has discovered this is very true.

Two country styles are featured each day. Days featured may change due to freshness of fish supplies.

Hong Kong ( Sundays )

British rule heavy influenced Hong Kong's Fish & Chips. Using Cobbler which is a type of fast, clearwater river catfish.

Sweet and flaky with much less of a salt flavour due to being a fresh water fish. l.

XO sauce is a treasured sauce with all the oceans flavours. Add a little soya and you have a sauce fit for roylty. This is a staff flavourite.

Western Australia ( Sundays )

Western Australia is heavy influanced by Hong Kong using Cobbler which is a type of fast, clearwater river catfish.

Sweet and flaky with much less of a salt flavour due to being a fresh water fish.

Western Australian's like a sweet sauce and use a sweet peppery sauce.

Acadia ( Mondays )

After the French were exiled from Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island they moved down the Mississippi taking the idea of fish & chips.

Using local ingredients they developed their own style with Catfish and corn.

1 pc Catfish in Corn Batter with Chips and Hush Puppy (Corn Bread).

Jamaican Islands ( Mondays )

Jamcaicans love thier spices, allspice, scotchbonnet peppers, citrus and vinegars.

Mr. Pickwick found not one but two very different sauces that Jamaicans love with their Fish & Chips. You have a choice of an Escavich sauce (vinegar sauce) with just a touch of allspice or a very hot jerk sauce made of jalapeno peppers and allspice for those who dare.

Served with 2 pieces Wild Alaskan Cod and Chips

Scottish ( Tuesdays )

Scotish Fish & Chips use the oringal Haddock from the Northern Oceans. Haddock is juicey like cod, but meatie like Halibut with a scallop flavour, distinguishable of Atlantic fish.

Add some Mushy Peas and Tartar sauce you have a true Scottish style of Fish & Chips.

Fijian Islands ( Tuesdays )

Native culture eagarly accepted this new way of cooking Fish & Chips adding a topping of Hot Banana Peppers and Lemon native to the Islands.

2 piece of North Pacific Cod and our famous Chips with Hot Banana Peppers, Lemon and Rayana's Tartar Sauce.

London Style ( Wednesdays )

The British are the oringinal founder of Fish & Chips. in 1839 Charles Dickens referred to fried fish warehouse" in Oliver Twist.

The great British fish & chips trade grew out of these existing small businesses which sold fish and chips separately in the streets and alleys of London and some of Britain's industrial towns in the 1850's. (see Info - Fish & Chips a History)

2pc Cod & Chips with a new twist the states of India (really started about 15 - 20 years ago) bring is with curry and tartar sauce.

Sandwich Islands ( Wednesdays )

Not liking Tartar sauce with their Fish & Chips, Hawaiians ,or Sandwich Islanders as they were known then, came up with their own Sweet and Sour pineapple sauce from local ingredents. This is a tummy pleaser!

2 piece of North Pacific Cod and our famous Chips with a Pineapple Sweet and Sour Sauce.

Background: 1778 - Captain James Cook of the British Navy thought he was the first to find a group of islands in the Pacific. He named them the Sandwich Islands in honor of England’s Earl of Sandwich, the first lord of the British Admiralty. Hawaii was once an independent kingdom. (1810 - 1893) The flag was designed at the request of King Kamehameha I. It has eight stripes of white, red and blue that represent the eight main islands. The flag of Great Britain is emblazoned in the upper left corner to honor Hawaii's friendship with the British. The combination of the stripes of the United States flag and the Union Jack of Great Britain is said to have pleased the merchant shippers of both nations. Flag adopted for official state use in 1959.

New Zealand ( Thursdays )

Native to the Southern Hemiphere is Hokki (a Maaori word meaning 'one who returns') a deep water white fish simiar to our cod.

The Maaori then added a pineapple fritter to their Fish & Chips.

South Africa ( Thursdays )

South Africa uses the fish Whiptail that is native to the area and added Peri Peri to their fish & chips for a medium spicy favour that is uniquely South African.

British Honduras ( Fridays )

With fresh Pico de Gallo Salsa the British Hondurains mildly spiced up fish & chips.

2 piece of North Pacific Cod and our famous Chips with fresh Pico de Gallo Salsa.

Background: Territorial disputes between the UK and Guatemala delayed the independence of Belize (formerly British Honduras) until 1981. Guatemala refused to recognize the new nation until 1992.

Newfoundland ( Fridays )

1 piece of Cod and Chips with dressing and gravy is an old staple in Newfoundland and Labradour.

Mr. Pickwick's serves North Pacific Cod and dressing (like a stove top stuffing made with Newfoundland Savoury) our world famous Chips and a spot of gravy. Rayana's tartar sauce is served on the side. In Newfoundland they would top it all together. Just the right for those Newfoundland winters!

Cook Islands ( Saturdays )

Half way between Hawaii and New Zealand, the Cook Island have blended these two styles into their own.

2 piece of North Pacific Cod and our famous Chips with with a Pineapple Fritter.

India ( Saturdays )

There are several different Fish Packoras. From the South a very spicy and to the North a much milder spice.

Mr. Pickwick choose one more to the North Americann taste, coming from the central area of India.
